Islamic art and traditions are different from other forms of art in other places because they don't depict figures of humans in their art.

Why is Muslim art non-figural?

The Muslims place a high premium on the sin of committing idolatry against Allah.

As a result, art is not to contain any figures of humans because it might lead to those humans being idolized by others which to Muslims is idolatery.
