Some worms (schistosomes) disguise their outer surface by acquiring host molecules which reduce their antigenicity

Filarial nematodes obtain serum albumin on their cuticle which acts as a disguise

Many worms emit substances that depress white blood cell function, inactivate macrophages, or digest antibodies.
