Hi there!

To find the solutions of the equation, just set them up equal to zero.

(x + 5)(x - 3) = 0

x + 5 = 0                    x - 3 = 0
    - 5    -5                     + 3    +3
--------------               ----------------
     x = -5                         x = 3

The solutions of your equation is x = -5 , x = 3.

Hope this helped! :)
