Find the area of a square if each side is 11 centimeters long

The area of that square would be 121 cm^2 because :

area of square = length(width)
                         =  11(11) 
                         = 121
Then you also have to square the units(cm). So the final answer would be 121 cm^2                        (the " ^ "represents the exponentiation)
