The velocity of the wave is calculated by multiplying the wavelength with the frequency. It is to be noted that the unit Hz is equal to 1/s.

 velocity = (wavelength)(frequency)

Substituting the known values,

velocity = (0.4 m)(2/s) = 0.8 m/s

Answer: 0.8 m/s
