hi !

subject pronoun = ils
direct pronoun  = me, te l'/le/la/, nous, vous, les.

Nous avons vu Pauline et Paul
We saw Pauline and Paul
Nous les avons vus (pronoun direct object)
We saw them
Who did we see = les (Pauline et Paul)

past participle VU du passé composé agrees with les because it's before the verb so VUS

Pauline et Paul sont mes amis
Ils sont mes amis (pronoun subject)

hope it helped !!
