I can type 19 words in 38 seconds. How many can I type in 60 seconds?

We can solve this by setting up a proportion

[tex] \frac{19}{38} \frac{x}{60} [/tex]

Solve for x by cross multiplying.

19 x 60 = 1140
1140/38 = 30
