I believe the equation is as follows:

y=bˣ , if so :

We know that exponential functions are one-to-one. Being one-to-one functions mean they have an inverse, then the inverse of:
y=bˣ is its logarithmic function that is log(b).x=y, where b is the base of the logarithm .Example

Suppose y=25, the base b=5 & x the number

The exponential form is 5ˣ = 25
& its logarithmic form: x= log₅(25)
The exponential form is equivalent to the logarithmic form:

5ˣ = 25 ==>x= log₅(25)
