How should firearms be transported in a boat?

The firearm should be transported unloaded and protected with a case. The unloaded position should be done for ensuring the safety of the firearm's carrier in the boat so that no blind shot could occur during the transporting process. The case is used for protecting the firearm from water in case of water leakage.
