What happens to the graph of f(x)=x^2 if you change the k value to 1?

[tex]f(x) = x^{2} +1 [/tex] makes the parent graph move up by one. The lowest point is (0,1). A negative k would make it move down respectively. The formula for these is y = a(x - h)^2 +k. A positive A can stretch or shrink, and a negative will flip it upside down. A -H will translate the graph right and H will move it left. Then K will move the figure up and down.
