A wave is an oscillation or a disturbance which travels through space. During this motion these waves transfer the energy. While the transfer of energy it is not necessary for the mass transport. All waves can be represented using wave equation. Which is a time dependent one. And the representation of waves varied with the different types of waves. There are two types of waves. One is transverse wave and other one is longitudinal waves.
