If F(x) = 4x - 1 and G(x) = x^2 + 7, what is G(F(x))?

A. 16x^2 - 8x + 8

Substitute in f(x) every time you see an x value in g(x)
Hence, g(f(x)) = (4x - 1)^2 + 7
= 16x^2 - 8x + 1 + 7
= 16x^2 - 8x + 8 (ie A)

c is the answer because 4 squared is 16 and negative 1 plus 7 is 8
