To multiply fractions: Simplify the fractions if not in lowest terms. 4/16 = 1/4
 Multiply the numerators of the fractions to get the new numerator. 1 x 1
 Multiply the denominators of the fractions to get the new denominator. 4 x 4
1 x 1 = 1
4 x 4 = 16
= 1/16 is your answer! :)
