The expression "a(b-c)" is an example of distributive property. To simplify it, simply multiply a by the terms inside the bracket.

Simplifying the distributive property.

  • => a(b - c)
  • => (a x b) + (a x -c)
  • => ab - ac

Hence, the simplified expression is ab - ac.
