• Rearrange in slope intercept form
3y = (-2x - 9) ➗ 3
y = -2/3x - 3

• Write parallel slope (same slope)
m = -2/3

• Replace x and y value in the equation
7 = -2/3(5) + b
7 = -10/3 + b
7 + 10/3 = b
B = 31/3

• write full equation
Y = -2/3 + 31/3
