Please help, On a map 1 inch equals 14.4 miles. If two cities are 1.5 inches on the map, how far are they actually apart ?

1 inch = 14.4 miles.....so 1.5 inches = (1.5 * 14.4) = 21.6 miles apart

14.4=1 inch 14.4 divided by 2 is 7.2 
7.2 plus 14.4 is 21.6

They are 21.6 miles apart.
