First we find the surface area of the base, (or the square.)

That is 25.

Next we find the areas of the triangle which is: [tex]\frac{1} {2} base[/tex]×height

The area of one triangle is 20, so we multiply it by 4.

That is 80.

Finally, we add both surface area to find the total surface area.

That is 80 + 25 = 105
