For both problems you need to use the equation π*r^2 which is the area of a circle and where r is the radius of the circle. The radius is also equal to 1/2 the diameter so using this we can figure out the are of the first circle
For the second problem we have to find the area of the circle with and without the sidewalk around it and subtract them from each other
