Temuchin - later called Chingiz Khan, a term that possibly meant "Universal Leader" - unified the Mongolian tribes and other nomads of the Eurasian steppes

supreme leader or Khan. Genghis Khan was the most noted leader because he founded the Mongol empire.  Hopefully this helps. :)
