Why do you think Christianity was so appealing to people in the Middle Ages?

Answer:

People could turn to a religion for an explanation about how everything came to be, humans dont like not knowing something. The religion christanity mightve been helpful to them so they could understand the world and what comes after death. Also it gave them a reason to live, people tried to get into heaven and that was their purpose to keep going, instead of living with the mentality that nothing came after death.
