Now sin^2x + cos^2x = 1 so:

= 2 + 2 cos x /  sin x(1 + cos x)

= 2(1+ cos x) /  sin x(1 + cos x)

The 1 + cos x is common so we have:

2 / sin x

= 2 cosec x.
