This is pretty much the same question I just answered...

So imagine this is a number line...

O----------------------------------------------------------------O

^                  ^                  ^  ^        ^                       ^

-10              -5                 0  [tex]\frac{1}{2}[/tex]       3                      10

[tex]\frac{1}{2}[/tex] is half of 1, so that should be the correct way on plotting the 3 points.
