A triangle has sides with lengths of 6 miles, 14 miles, and 15 miles. Is it a right triangle?

For a right angle triangle

[tex]a^{2}[/tex] + [tex]b^{2}[/tex] = [tex]c^{2}[/tex]   where a is the base , b is the height and c is the hypotenuse

taking a= 6 b = 14 and c = 15

hence [tex]6^{2}[/tex] +[tex]14^{2}[/tex] = [tex]15^{2}[/tex]

         36+196 = 232 which is not equal to 225

therefore the triangle is not right angled traingle
