well most forces controlled the countries and territories of the Axis powers. Millions of Germans and Japanese were forced out of the territories they lived in and sent back "home." The victors dismantled their former enemies' ability to make war by dismantling factories which ment more and more people could not chose where they wanted to stay but they just had to go from were they were born.
