Why is the weight of an object more on Earth than on the Moon?

Because on Earth we don’t have a high level on gravity Due to gravity on the earth but on moon there is 1/6th of the gravity than on earth. Since the acceleration of gravity Is lesser in moon and weight is constant, the weight of an object is lesser on the surface of the moon.
