There are 4 aces and 52 cards so the unsimplified versions is 4/52 but after you simplify it is 1/13  so you have a 1/13 chance

For the 52 cards, there are 4 aces
Odds of picking an ace=[tex] \frac{number of aces}{total number of cards} [/tex]
=[tex] \frac{4}{52} [/tex]
On simplifying, you get 1/13
