Solutions

----- Solve using Elimination

[tex]3x+6y=30 2x+7y=29[/tex]

[tex]6x+12y=60 2x+7y=29[/tex]

[tex]6x+12y=60 6x+21y=87[/tex]

[tex] -9y=-27 [/tex]

[tex]y=3 [/tex]

Substitute y=3 into any of the two equations above

[tex] 6x+12*3=60 [/tex]

[tex]6x+36=60[/tex]

[tex]6x=60-36 [/tex]

[tex]6x=24[/tex]

[tex]x= 24 / 6[/tex]

[tex]x=4[/tex]

[tex]x=4 y=3[/tex]
