  • In the play, the Chorus recounts the evnts leading to Antigone's tragedy.
  • This shows that the guard fears Creon. Dramatic irony is used. Creon says, "A man who thinks highly of a friend than his country, well, he means nothing to me." This shows his loyalty to state.
