f(x)= x^2+ 2x – 8

Factor the polynomial by finding 2 numbers that when added together would equal 2 and when multiplied together would equal -8.

The factored form is (x-2) (x+4)

Now find the zero's by solving for the two x's:

x = 2 and x = -4

The answer would be {2,-4}
