Using distribution to remove parenthesis by revering the signs of terms after the negative.

[tex]4x-6>2x-4+2x[/tex]

Combining like terms

[tex]4x-6>4x-4[/tex]       [ ∵ [tex]2x+2x=4x[/tex]]

Subtracting both sides by [tex]4x[/tex]

[tex]4x-6-4x>4x-4-4x[/tex]

[tex]-6>-4[/tex]

We get -6 greater than -4 which is not true, hence we conclude that the inequality has no solutions.
