first convert speed of compressor to rpms

Compressor speed= w1 = 150 cycles/s= 150 * 60= 9000 rpms

Speed of turbine= w2 = 18000 rpms

gear ratio = N2/N1 = w1/w2

gear ratio = 9000/18000

gear ratio = 1/2

gear ratio = 1:2
