so we have A = b1 + b2/2 × h

so to get rid of the fraction multiply everything by 2

and now your equation will look like this:

2A = b1 + b2 × 2h

subtract b2 on both sides of the equal sign

-b2 + 2A = b1 × 2h

now subtract 2A from both sides

-b2 = b1 × 2h - 2A

and to get -b2 positive divide everything by -1

b2 = -b1 × -2h + 2A
