The Soviet Union’s goal was to have worldwide communism , so the U.S didn’t trust them from the start .

Communism was never a part of the ideologies of the United States and since the Soviet Union wanted to preach communist beliefs in the whole world, they did not get the support they wanted and lost the trust of the United States
