What was the importance of Elizabeths l’s defeat of the Spanish Armada?

 The defeat of the Spanish Armada in 1588 was important because it saved England from a Spanish invasion. Since Spain were involved in plots against her. She had to defend England's interests against the Spanish threat due to pressure for the public and her Privy Council.
