(A) Creating the look for each actor
One of the major functions of a Key Makeup Artist is to plan and apply makeup to everyone from bit players to lead Actors and Models. They often work with the director and production designer, to ensure that the ideas of the movie directors are well executed. The Key makeup artist is saddled with the responsibilities of planning the makeup designs for all leading and supporting actors, this includes, but not limited to cosmetic makeup and facial/body hair applications.
