Given data:

M.A. =  8 (No units),

Ramp height (h)= 1.5 m, lifted,

Determine how long is the ramp=?

General formula

Mechanical Advantage = (Ramp length) ÷ (Ramp height),

                             M.A = l  ÷ h

                                  8 × 1.5 = l = 12 m long

length of the ramp l ramp = 12 m
