Among the victims of the boat tragic sinking that happened during the May 1st voyage in 1915 were 128 Americans, including the celebrities: Frohman, Hubbard and Vanderbilt. The response of Captain William Turner to the danger alert was critized, as well as the inexperience of the crew to handle the situation. The captain survived but retired after the events.
