If the two angles form a linear pair, then their degree measures equal 180.  We can add the two measures together, set them equal to 180, and solve for x.

2x+20+48x=180

*Combine like terms*

20+50x=180

*Subtract 20 from both sides*

50x=160

*Divide both sides by 50*

x=16/5

Now, plug in 16/5 for x to find the measures of each angle.

2(16/5)+20=26.4

48(16/5)=153.6

Angle 1=26.4 and Angle 2=153.6.

Hope this helps!!
