The slope-intercept form:

[tex]y=mx+b[/tex]

m - slope

b - y-intercept

We have the slope m = 2 → [tex]y=2x+b[/tex]

and point (6, 9). Substitute:

[tex]9=2(6)+b[/tex]

[tex]9=12+b[/tex]       sunbract 12 from both sides

[tex]-3=b\to b=-3[/tex]

Answer: y = 2x - 3
