multiply both sides by 14 to get rid the fraction. this comes out to -14≥-2+a. then you need to add 2 to each side because it is a NEGATIVE 2. this ends up being -12≥a. Hope this helps!!

Start with

[tex] -1 \geq -2+\dfrac{a}{14} [/tex]

Add 2 to both sides:

[tex] 1 \geq \dfrac{a}{14} [/tex]

Multiply both sides by 14. Note that, since 14 is positive, we don't have to change the inequality sign:

[tex] 14 \geq a \iff a \leq 14 [/tex]
