You can find the slope of the two points with the following formula:

[tex]m=\frac{y2-y1}{x2-x1}[/tex]

Substitute the corresponding values into the equation.

[tex]m=\frac{-2-8}{4-9}[/tex]

[tex]m=\frac{-10}{-5}[/tex]

[tex]m=2[/tex]

The slope of the line is 2.
