Mass of proton is 1837 times the mass of an electron such as:

Mass of proton = 1837 mass of electron

or

one electron = 1/1837 the proton’s mass

then  

[tex]1.0 x 1837 = 1837.0[/tex] grams of protons.

[tex]1.8 x 10^3[/tex] grams protons

Thus, 1.8 x 10^3 grams mass of proton is required to neutralize 1 g electron
