                         ---  +  ---. You have to do 3 + 2 which is 5, and leave the 
                         8        8    denominators the same, so the answer is 5/8.
The denominator ( the bottom number in a fraction ) has to stay the same so you put the amount of Mary's pizza over 8 = 3/8

Now you do the same for the actor = 2/8

Now keep the denominator the same and add 2 and 3 to give you 5.

And thats your answer! = 5/8
