solve 9^2x + 1 = 9^3x – 2

Hey, x = 3. Because they have the same base of 9, you just focus on the exponents so:

2x+1=3x-2

Subtract 1 by both sides to get

2x=3x-3

Then subtract 3x by both sides:

-x=-3

Divide both sides by -1 to get x=3
