The charge of one electron is [tex]e=1.6 \cdot 10^{-19}C[/tex]. In order to have 1 C of charge, we need to have N electrons such that their total charge is 1 C:
[tex]1 C = Ne[/tex]
By rearranging the equation, we can easily calculate the number of electrons contained in 1 C of charge:
[tex]N= \frac{1 C}{e}= \frac{1 C}{1.6 \cdot 10^{-19}C}=6.25 \cdot 10^{18} [/tex]
